Press 20 fresh basil leaves against the side of a bowl. Add this mashed herb to a generous dollop of your favourite gentle face wash. Massage into your skin and rinse.

We all love a bright looking complexion. Turmeric is a fantastic way to perk up your skin. You will get an instant glow from this spice as it boosts your circulation. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric and it destroys the free radicals that are responsible for wrinkles! Here is a terrific mask to make. Combine these ingredients together:

  • 1/4 Tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 Tsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1 Tbsp milk

Smooth this paste over clean skin and avoid the delicate eye area. Put your feet up and relax for 10 minutes. Remove this mask using a mild facial cleanser and an old facecloth (turmeric may stain the cloth).

How To Lighten Age Spots With Ginger

Ginger is a spice that contains the potent antioxidant gingerol that helps to diminish blemishes, acne scars, dark marks and age spots. It evens out discolorations of the complexion. Here is what to do:

Mix 1 teaspoon grated ginger root with 1 tablespoon of honey and use it to exfoliate your face. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Smooth this mixture over dark spots daily for ginger, excellent results.

 

Smooth Puffy Eyes With Mint and Green Tea

Mint is an excellent herb that contains menthol that helps to flush out excess fluid. You will find that undereye bags will smooth out quickly. Pair mint with green tea for even better results. Herbal teas are calming and soothing. They may help to reduce inflammation and puffiness.

Try this:

  • Steep one green tea bag and one mint tea bag in a cup of water for 5 minutes.
  • Discard the tea bags. Chill the tea mixture in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  • Soak cotton makeup rounds in the tea mixture and squeeze out the extra liquid.
  • Lay back and place a cotton round over each eye while you relax for 10 minutes.
  • You will find the eye puffiness is soothed and reduced.
