Rosemary is a strongly scented and powerfully invigorating essential oil that only requires a few drops to be effective. When used on the body, rosemary oil should be diluted. This essential oil is a natural stimulant and very beneficial for scalp health and healthy hair. It is a common ingredient in natural hair tonics.
Add about 6-10 drops of rosemary oil to your shampoo or conditioner in order to stimulate hair growth at the follicular level, and reduce the presence of gray hair.
Almond Facial Scrub Recipe
This natural and homemade facial treatment is extremely effective and smells delightful.
4 teaspoons finely ground almonds
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 Tablespoons sweet almond oil
Combine all ingredients to form a paste. Add to a jar with lid. To use, smooth over facial skin, avoiding eye area. Gently massage in. You may also let this mixture soak into your face for about ten minutes. Remove using warm water and a washcloth.

Body butter with essential oils can be used to moisturize dry and flaky skin. And you can make it with a few simple ingredients in less time than it takes to fight the checkout lane at your local store.
This recipe is for a simple whipped body butter that needs a few key ingredients.
Super Simple Whipped Body Butter Recipe:
1/4 cup of shea butter, raw
1/4 cup of coconut oil
2 ounces of regular oil, such as sweet almond oil or jojoba oil
Your choice of essential oils
Saucepan or double boiler
• All of these ingredients are readily available in a health food store.
• Combine the Shea butter, coconut oil and regular oil in the double boiler or saucepan.
• Stirring constantly over medium heat, mix until everything is melted.
• Remove it from the heat. Cool slightly before adding essential oils.
• This moisturizing body butter is made in small batches to ensure its freshness.
Jojoba Oil Foot Soak Recipe
Jojoba oil deeply moisturizes the skin, delivering healing and nourishing properties. It is one of the most commonly used carrier oils for its ability to absorb quickly without leaving an oily layer on the surface of the skin. This foot soak recipe uses Epsom salts to soothe tired feet while promoting deep relaxation for the rest of the body by way of the soles of the feet. Geranium oil balances, lavender oil imparts calm. You’ll feel deeply relaxed after just 10 minutes of this soothing, make-at-home foot soak.
1 cup baking soda
1/4 cup Epsom salts
1 teaspoon jojoba oil
5 drops lavender essential oil
5 drops rose geranium essential oil
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Pour about 1/4 of this mixture into a receptacle such as a sink or small tub filled with warm water. Soak feet for about 15 minutes. Store remaining mixture in a glass jar with a lid.
Make A Lovely Rose Bath Salt Mixture
Epsom salts are a powerful and inexpensive way to de¬stress and detoxify your whole body. Rose essential oil is very kind to the skin. Try the following recipe for some soothing and lovely rose scented bath salts.
1 cup of Epsom salts
3 drops of rose essential oil
Cork-topped glass containers or clear canning jars, from pint-size to quart size
Place about a cup of Epsom salts into a glass bowl. Add 2 to 3 drops of rose essential oil and mix well with the Epsom salts. This method disperses the oil throughout the Epsom salts.
Fill each glass container with Epsom salts.
Paint the white glue around the rim of the container and put in the cork. Paint the glue over the cork as well. Use several thin coats. This seals the bath salts.
Print labels that say “Rose Scented Bath Salts – Add ½ cup to a tub of very warm water.”
Add a ¼ cup of dried skim milk powder to the Epsom salts for a milk bath.
